Train Assembly Technician (Electrical)
As a train assembly technician, you perform electrical assembly work during day shifts. We are currently converting about 84 trains in Blerick, which means, for example, that the train safety systems are being upgraded. You are involved in laying cables and ensuring that everything is properly secured. Although you are mainly engaged in electrical work, you also perform mechanical tasks.

Train Assembly Technician (Electrical)
You are involved in installing a new train network in updated trains, which includes installing circuit breakers, new speakers, and electrical components. This means that everything is thoroughly renovated in terms of electrical engineering. The team you will be working with is diverse and includes different cultures. Currently, 11 technicians are working in our workshop in Blerick, and we are looking for a new colleague to expand our team.
These are your duties as train assembly technician (electrical)
- Assembling and modifying 84 trains, mainly in the electrical field.
- Working according to instructions, you record the used parts and also log your own hours.
- When your shift starts, you check whether everything is present to be able to work properly.
- You ensure a smooth handover to the next team.

- A good salary: from €2,627 to €3,193, depending on your education and experience.
- Pension accumulation with a 70% employer contribution.
- For travel, you receive 21 cents per kilometer with a maximum of 100 km per day.
- 25 vacation days and 13 ADV days (with a full-time contract).
- Other employment conditions according to the Metalworking Company collective labor agreement.
- Plenty of opportunities to develop yourself and follow training courses.
- Initially, you will receive a one-year contract.

- For this job, it is a must that you are handy. We want to deliver the 84 trains in tip-top condition, so every action must be carried out with precision. You work neatly and accurately. In addition, you can handle technical drawings well.
- Vocational education level 3 in electrical engineering or another relevant field.
- Experience as an assembly technician in a technical environment.
- You speak and write English well.
- You are not afraid to work at heights.
- You can handle technical drawings well.
